Where Else Would You Be On A Friday Night?

Action on and off the field. The pinnacle of the town for both teenagers and adults reliving their glory days, budget cuts have had a large effect on Lanford Creek High. Field decorations and new uniforms take precedence over textbooks and new computers, so the real question, as Texas native George W. Bush once asked, is, "Is our children learning?"

Confiscated Materials. Well, it was kind of silly of you to be answering a phone call right in front of Principal Taylor, wasn't it?! And don't give her any of that technical stuff about not being a student here anymore. Even if that's the case, that just means you're setting a bad example. Come collect your cell phone at the end of the day.

Countdown to Friday

Housing. Nothing was unaffected by the localized depression of the eighties that continued into the nineties and still exists today, and real estate was certainly no exception. Many two or three bedroom homes in Lanford Creek can be purchased for under $100,000 and apartments provide an even more affordable alternative. There are some nice houses, but they're few and far between.

Entertainment. On any given night, there isn't much going on in Lanford Creek, but you can probably find something to do in Sleepy River. Once a profitable farming district where the majority of the town's cotton and other cash crops were grown here, but now it's mostly abandoned fields with a couple restaurants and small stores built on top of them.

Forgotten wasteland. Abandoned by its inhabitants in the 1840s during the Mexican-American War, Tribune is a ghost town that time has left behind. The poor economy has left no one willing to visit, and the historical society keeps developers from rebuilding, so only locals looking for a place to party end up in Tribune.
