Holy fuck.
Quote:
After Gisele Bundchen called out her husband’s teammates for not catching the ball (in her opinion) on Super Bowl Sunday, Jacobs sounded off at New York's victory rally saying, "She just needs to continue to stay cute and shut up."
Jacobs now tells ESPN radio he's sorry about the "shut up" comment, saying, "Given the fact that it's a colleague of mine's wife, I do apologize for saying that, because I shouldn't have said that." But Jacobs says the "stay cute" part of his comment was a compliment, and if Brady has a issue with him thinking Gisele is cute, then that's Brady's problem.

You know, when I first saw the headline about Jacobs apologizing, I was surprised but really impressed. His comments were sickening on a level I've come to expect from idiots on the street, but as a role model and pro athlete, I feel he should be held to a higher standard than that? But listen, idiot: your fuckup wasn't in being critical of
another guy's wife. Your fuckup was in telling a woman -
regardless of who she's married to - to shut up and stay cute, with no fucking awareness of the sexism inherent in that sort of remark.
You know, a lot of the time, shitty apologies don't help. This is something new, though, because he actually managed to make it
worse in apologizing.
