Jocelyn frowned, trying to actually consider his question about how it was possible to love more than one woman. Her own cultural biases made her want to brush it off immediately, to say you couldn't love one person completely if you wanted someone else, too, but maybe it wasn't that simple. "When I was pregnant with Kendall," she started slowly, "I worried about how it would change things with Craig. Like, would I have enough love for both of them?" She shrugged. "Now I know there isn't some limited capacity for love. It grows with each child in your life... I didn't have to split the love I had for Craig to share it with Kendall. Maybe it's similar with multiple spouses?"

Jocelyn sighed as Abram encouraged her to confront Savannah; sometimes, it was really obvious he didn't completely fit in in this world yet. Anyone else would've reached the conclusion she'd already tried that, and understand that honesty was a flexible concept. There were a lot of reasons for lying. A lot more reasons to lie than to tell the truth. "I think she's gonna have to tell me in her own time. I can't really press it anymore without risking making it worse."

He looked over listening to her. He never really thought of it that way "Maybe" He said to her "But loving your children and loving a spouse is a bit different to me" He said looking down to the baby again who was sleeping now. "Like I'll be happy with one woman and want only that one woman to have my kids, I don't know how else to explain it...it just feels right hat way" He said to her as he touched the baby's cheek.

Jocelyn seemed to look at him weird and he didn't know why at the time. BUt she said she'd wait so not to make it worse and then he put together she must have tried to confront her already. he didn't say anything and must nodded. "You know" He started looking agian to Kendall "If you ever need a sitter I can help" He told her "I really miss being around kids" He said not really thinking that a guy watching her kids could be considered weird because he was so used to helping out with little ones. "It's weird to helping with the kids every day to no...i miss it" He admitted.

"I don't know," Jocelyn said after a pause. "I mean, yeah, obviously you love children differently than you love a spouse, but... that doesn't necessarily mean the amount of love you have can't expand with the latter." She shrugged. "I guess to me, the issue is less about whether or not you can love them equally, and more about how much time you can spend with them, if you can really be there for multiple spouses." She reached out for the baby as Cora started to get fussy. "The hardest thing for me has been balancing my time. Like right now, Cora takes a lot more time to care for than Craig or Kendall because she's so little... she can't do anything for herself. And sometimes it's a real effort to make sure I have one-on-one time with the other two."

She shook her head. "I can't imagine being able to give multiple spouses the attention they deserve, especially once kids enter the picture. You can always expand how much love you possess, but you can't make it so there's more than twenty-four hours in the day." Her gaze followed Craig as he ran up the beach and started to play with Kendall before clearing her throat at Abram's offer and giving him a small smile. "Thanks. I'll keep that in mind if there's a night I have to work that Savannah's busy," she told him, even though that seemed unlikely to happen. She and Savannah had an unspoken agreement of sorts; Jocelyn was willing to financially support everyone while Savannah focused on school instead, as long as Savannah put the kids first when she wasn't in class. It seemed unlikely Savannah would opt to go out instead of watching the kids.

He looked over to her and tried to think about that. He handed the baby over to her then smiled a little "Are you trying to tell me something?" He teased a little. "Yea, it was always the bigger kids taking care of the babies, you learned how to do that at a young age there." He said with a nod. "The mothers did work with the kids but they also had to do all the housework while the men were out doing business to bring in money for everyone so the mothers relied on the older kids to help out with the youngers" He said watching the little boy still playing on the edge of the water.

"Well yea you can expand your love but like you said you can't give each the attention they deserve. And I want to be able to do that, I don't know I just want one spouse" He said resting his hands on his bent knees "Which out here seems to be weird for guys from all the cheating movies on the television" He said wit ha small smile. Then she said she'd think about and and he nodded "Well you know just if your in a crunch and need someone" He said knowing it had to be hard to let someone you barely know watch your kids, sometimes he forgot the outside world of what he is used too isn't as trusting. "I should get going" He said with a small smile. "I'll see you around soon, it was good seeing you again and meeting the kids" He said looking to the others playing and to the baby. "Have a good night" He said before getting up and turning to head back to his building.
